The cliffs here were formed at the same time when the"Strait of Dover" was made by iceage floods. 2 - Etretat Cliffs, Normandy, France


The cliffs are situated in Normandy Region of France. The Albatre Coast is 140 km long but the cliffs are at most picturesque in Etretat. The french have given each different part of the cliffs a seperate name, The Aval's Cliff, The Manneporte, The Courtine, The Amont's Cliff, The Roc Vaudie and the Aiguille of Belval. 7- Cliffs of Kerpe, Turkey


Located in the northern region of Turkey the Kerpe Cliffs are a popular destination and can be reached from city Kocaeli through the village Kandira. The cliffs are located in a bay and is therefore sheltered even in stromy weather. It has a height of 30 m but has deepnes of 50 m where diving facilities are excellent. 8 - Cabo Girao Cliffs, Madeira Island, Portugal

9 - Los Organos Basalt Cliffs, La Gomera - Canary Island, Spain



Located on the northern coast of La Gomera it's considered as one of the most beautiful basalt formations. The cliffs rise up to a height of 800 m and a width of 200 m. It looks like as Aliens have been here and were housing by building spectacular rock formations, but the truth is different. The pillars, which look very similiar to organ pipes (Los Organos) are the remains of lava masses of the volcano. During centuries the nature did his work as it has done always by forming the pillars with erosion. To see the impressive cliffs there are boat tours from small harbour towns like Valle Gran Rey and Playa Santiago.



10 - Troll Wall Cliff, Norway



Being a part of the Trolltinder Mountain the "Troll Wall" is Europe's tallest vertical mountain wall. The amazing cliff rises up 1.750 m and is located in the Romsdalen Valley. The Troll Wall can be found in Reinheimen National Park. The rock has always been a provocative goal for base jumpers and climbers. After the death of the famous Carl Boenish, base jumping at Troll Wall has been illegal since 1986. He set the world record for heighst base jump but died while attempting his second jump.
